INGREDIENTS

1. Coconut – 8

2.Garlic – 4

3. Tumerind – 50 gm

4.Ginger – a small piece

5. Pepper – 1 tbs

6. Chilli powder – 8 tbs

7. Coriander powder- 1 1/2tbs

8. Asafoetida – 1 Tsp

9. Fenugreek – 1/2 Tbs

10. urad dal – 10 tbs

11. masoor dal – 10 tbs

Preparation

Crush coconut in mixie jar, then transfer it to a pan, now turn on flame, mix it well, add garlic and curry leaves, continue mixing, next add tamarind,ginger and pepper, roast it until it turns crispy and golden brown,now add chilly powder, mix it well next add coriander powder, mix again, next add hing powder and fenugreek, combine it well, then turn off flame. Heat another pan, dry roast urad dal and dal separately, then grind it into fine powder.Now crush coconut by adding this powder and salt, now tasty chammanthippodi is ready.

Ingredients

cardamom powder-1 tsp

salt

water

banana leaf

Preparation

Take a bowl, add wheat flour and salt, mix it, then pour water little by little, knead it well and make a sticky dough.For filling, add coconut in a bowl, add sugar, jaggerry and cardamom into it, mix well. Take a banana leaf, add small ball size dough, apply over the leaf in a thin layer, add filling, then fold the leaf.Finally cook it in a tawa.

Prawn dry roast

Ingredients

prawns-1/2 kg

pepper powder-1 tsp

turmeric-1/4 tsp

chilly powder-2 tsp

salt

oil

tomato-3

garlic,ginger and green chilly

garam masala-1/2 tsp

Preparation

Marinate prawns with salt,turmeric, chilly powder and pepper powder.After 1/2 hrs of marination, fry it in oil, then set aside.Pour tomato puree in the same pan, saute until oil separates, then add ginger garlic and chilly crushed, mix well, then add salt and other masala powders, mix it well, next add fried prawns, cook until it become dry, finally add curry leaves.

Ingredients

wheat flour

banana small-5

cardamom powder-1 tsp

Preparation

Take banana, peel off it then add to a bowl, mash it with your hand, then add sugar and cardamom powder, mix it again, next add wheat flour, knead it well and make a sticky dough.Heat a tawa, add the dough, a small quantity, spread over the tawa with your fingers, cook both sides, then serve it.

Rava snack

Ingredients:

Rava – 1 and a half cup

Red chili powder – 1 tablespoon

Salt, Water, Oil

Preparation

Add semolina to a mixie jar, then grind it into fine powder, then transfer it to a bowl, then add salt and chilly powder, mix it well, now pour water little by little, knead it well and make soft dough, use oil for extra softness, keep the dough aside for 10 minutes. After that, flatten it in counter top,make a thin chapathi, use any flour for dusting. Take a kniefe and cut it into small rectangle shape. Heat oil in a pan, add each one then fry it well.

Special Fish fry

Ingredients

Fish – 1 kg

Kashmiri chilli powder – 2 tablespoons

Turmeric powder – 1teaspoon

Pepper powder- 1 teaspoon

Salt to taste

Lemon juice – 1 tablespoon

Thick coconut milk – 2 tablespoons

for masala

Chopped Curry leaves – few

Chopped garlic – 3 tablespoons

Chopped Ginger- 3 tablespoons

Chopped shallot – 1 cup

Kashmiri chilli powder- 1 tablespoon

Pepper powder – 1 teaspoon

Turmeric powder- 1 teaspoon

Salt to taste

Coconut oil for frying

Preparation

Take a large plate, add chilly powder,turmeric powder, salt, lemon juice,pepper powder and thick coconut milk, mix well and make a paste, marinate fish with this masala and rest for 1 hour.

Take ingredients for making masala in a bowl, mix it tightly with your hand.

Heat oil in a pan, add fish pieces, once one side is fried enogh, flip to another, now add masala into it, fry well, then serve it in banana leaf.

Leftover dosa batter recipe

Ingredients

dosa batter-4 cup

sugar-4 1/2 tbsp

butter

Preparation

Take dosa batter in a bowl, add sugar, mix it well. Take a non stick sauce pan, pour the whole batter, cover the pan, cook it in low flame. Once one side is cooked enough, flip it to another pan, don’t forget to grease it with butter, then cook it well.Now the cake is ready to serve.

Preparation

Take rava in a bowl, add coconut, mix well by using your hand, then add sugar, salt and cardamom powder, mix it again.Heat ghee in a pan, add the rava mix, mix well, once it heat well pour water and cook it until it become thick and non sticky, then turn off flame and let it cool, then make desired shape out of the dough, then fry it in hot oil.
