A cool recipe with leftover porotta..

INGREDIENTS

ghee- 2 tbsp

cashews-1/4 cup

kismis-1/4 cup

porotta-3

egg-6

sugar- 1/2 cup

milk-1 glass

cardamom powder-1/2 tsp

Preparation

Cut porotta into small pieces, then soak it in 1 glass of water. Beat egg in a bowl, add sugar, cardamom, milk and soaked porotta, combine all, add roasted cashews and kismis. Heat a tawa, put a sauce pan above, apply ghee, then pour the whole mix, then cover it with a lid, bake it until it cooked well.

Poha Roti

An easy snack with poha and rice flour.

INGREDIENTS

Poha- 1 cup

rice flour-1 cup

coconut

onion

curry leaves

salt

water

Preparation

Wash poha well, then mix it with rice flour, add other ingredients, knead it well and make a soft dough. Take a small quantity from it, flatten it with a plastic sheet, then cook it in a pan.

turmeric-1/2 tsp

pepper powder-1/2 tsp

fennel powder-1/4 tsp

lemon juice-1/2

ginger garlic paste-1 tsp

coconut oil-2 tsp

sword fish

oil for frying

curry leaves and onion

Preparation

Take a plate, add masala powders, salt and ginger garlic, mix this with coconut oil and lemon juice, marinate fish with this masala , keep aside for 30 minutes. Heat oil in a pan, add curry leaves, then add fish, fry both sides well, then serve it with onion rings.

Wheat Payasam

Tasty broken wheat payasam

INGREDIENTS

broken wheat- 2 cup

water

jaggerry- 150 gm

coconut milk second extract

thick coconut milk

coconut flakes

cardamom powder

ghee- 2 tsp

Preparation

Soak wheat for 10 minutes, then wash it well. Add it to a cooker, pour water, then cook it for 3 whistle. Melt jaggerry with water, then add to cooked wheat, boil it for 5 more minutes, then add second coconut milk, boil it again for 5 minutes, next add cardamom powder, then add thick coconut milk, now turn off stove. Roast coconut in ghee then add it to the payasam.

Nawabian sweet Kunafa

INGREDIENTS

Semiya- 1 pkt

sugar- 3 tbsp

ghee- 2 tbsp

milk- 1/4 cup

custard powder- 1 tbsp

corn flour- 1 tbsp

milk – 2 cup

milk maid-1/2 cup

crushed pista

Preparation

Heat ghee in a pan, add semiya, roast it well, then add powdered sugar into it, mix well until it become sticky, then transfer it to a glass container, tightly press it with a bowl. In a small bowl, add milk, corn flour and custard, mix well, remove lumps. Boil milk in a pan, add the custard mix, stir it well, once it become thick add milkmaid, stir it again until it become thick. pour the mix above the semiya layer, add crushed pista above the layer, next set second layer of semiya, again add pista, then set aside for cool enough, then serve it.

Take putt powder in a bowl, add salt and water, mix well and make a perfect putt mix. Heat oil in a pan, add onion, saute it well, next add green chilly, ginger, garlic and curry leaves, add salt mix well, then add masala powders, after mixing it well add tomato and prawns, cook it well, add curry leaves, then turn off flame. Use this mix instead of coconut for making putt, and steam it well.

Raw rice- 1 1/2 cup

coconut- 1/2

water

cooked rice-1/2 cup

salt

fermented coconut water

sugar- 1 tsp

Preparation

Soak rice for 8 hrs. Mix coconut water and sugar, keep this aside for 8 hrs. After soaking rice, grind it with coconut and cooked rice and make a fine batter, pour coconut water into it, add salt too, mix well, then keep this aside for another 8 hrs, after the batter raise enough, you can make soft appam.

Bun Dosa and Tomato chutney

You can try this new breakfast recipe…

INGREDIENTS

Raw rice- 2 cup

fenugreek-1/2 tsp

poha- 1/4 cup

coconut- 1 cup

water

salt

green chilly

curry leaves

coconut oil

urad dal

for chutney

dal – 1 tsp

urad dal- 1 tsp

garlic-5 -6

ginger

shallots- 10-15

tomato-1

dry chilly-3-4

hing- 2 pinch

coconut- 1 tbsp

tamarind

Preparation

Soak rice and fenugreek together, after 3-4 hrs, grind it with soaked poha and coconut, make a medium thick batter, keep this aside for 1 night, next morning add salt to the batter, then add seasoned green chilly , curry leaves and urad dal, mix well, then make small and thick dosa in appam chatti.

For chutney, heat oil in a pan, add urad dal and normal dal, roast it well, next add shallots, garlic and ginger, saute it well, add tomato and dry chilly, saute it for a minute, then turn off flame, add hing powder, then grind it well. Serve dosa with this chutney.

Break eggs to the mixie jar, add sugar, vanilla and oil, blend it well, then transfer it to a bowl, grind banana with milk and pour above the egg mix, add wheat flour, salt and baking powder through a siever , mix everything well and make a smooth batter. Take small steel bowls, apply oil, then pour the batter, steam it well in a steamer, then have it with tea.
