Urad dal-2 cups

ginger- 1 small piece


water- 1/4 cup

shallots-10 nos

green chilly-2-3

curry leaves

salt -1 1/2 tsp

asafoetida-1/4 tsp

crushed black pepper-1 tsp

cooking oil- for frying


soak urad dal, grind with ginger in a thick consistency, mix the batter with a fork, add shallots, chilly, curry leaves, hing, salt,and pepper mix well , and make uzhunnu vada
