mackerel fish-1/2 kg

for roasting coconut

coriander seeds-1 handful

shallots-3

garlic-3

For curry

oil

onion-1/2

green chilly-2

ginger garlic paste-1 tsp

tomato-1

salt

turmeric

water

tamarind juice

pepper powder

curry leaves

Preparation

For roasting coconut, heat oil in a pan, add coriander seeds, after 1 minute of roasting, add coconut, garlic and ginger, mix it well, cook until coconut turns brown, next add chilly powder and green chilly, heat masala powders well and turn off flame. Grind the mix with water after the heat is gone.

Heat oil in a clay pot, add onion and green chilly, saute it well, then add ginger garlic paste, saute it again, then add tomato, after mixing it well, add masala powders, pour water , add salt and boil it well, add salt, then add fish, after cooking it well add coconut paste and water, combine all, boil it well, add tamarind juice into it, let it boil , finally add curry leaves and turn off flame.
