Egg Masala Bajji

A special masala bajji with egg….

First heat a pan by pouring some oil in it and add one teaspoon of chopped ginger, one teaspoon of chopped garlic, one green chilli chopped and one and a half onion chopped into pan, When the onion is fried well, add quarter teaspoon of turmeric powder, half teaspoon of cumin powder, and one teaspoon of coriander powder, You can add half a teaspoon of garam masala and half a teaspoon of pepper powder and fry it till the raw smell gone, then add a boiled potato to it, Mix it well and turn off the stove. Boil five eggs, peel them and cut them into two, Add the egg yolk to the prepared masala and mix it well. Add some coriander leaves and mix it. Add this masala to the eggs. Now add sea flour to a bowl, add quarter cup of rice powder, one teaspoon of Kashmiri chilli powder, enough salt and a little turmeric powder, Mix well. Add a little water to this and mix it into a thick batter. You can dip and fry this batter by taking the eggs filled with the masala one by one.

Small Dosa

Kannur special Thattil kooti dosa..

Take a bowl, add 2 cup of raw rice , 1 cup boiled dry rice and 1 tsp of fenugreek, wash it well, then soak it for 4 hrs. Take another bowl, add 1 1 /4 cup urad dal, wash it and soak same 4 hrs.
After 4 hrs, grind this with 1 cup cooked rice, then ferment it for 8 hrs. Add salt to the batter, after mixing well, make small dosa with it.

For coconut chutney , grind coconut, ginger , green chilly, salt and curry leaves together and make a paste. season it with urad dal, mustard, dry chilly and curry leaves.

For tomato chutney, heat oil in a pan, add onion, ginger, garlic, tamarind and tomato, add salt, saute it well. Once the heat gone grind it into fine paste.

Mackerel fish curry( Ayala mulakittath)

Fish curry with the taste you get in the hotel. We can easily prepare short mackerel chili at home.

Ingredients

• Mackerel – 1/2 kg
• Coconut oil – 2 tbsp
•Walanpuli – Gooseberry size
•Chopped small onion – 1/4 cup
•Ginger chopped – 1 tbsp
•Garlic Chopped – 1 Tablespoon
•Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
•Kashmiri Chilli Powder – 1& 1/2 Tablespoon
•Fenugreek powder – 1/4 tsp
• Chilli powder – 1/2 tbsp
• Coriander powder – 1/2 tsp
• Small onion – 15
•Garlic – 5
•Mustard – 1/2 tsp
•Curry leaves – few
•Green chillies -3
•Tomato – 1
•Hot water – 1 glass
•Salt – as needed

How to prepare

• Wash and clean the fish and cut it into small pieces and set aside. Take another pan and pour one tablespoon of coconut oil in it, Then add 15 small onions and 5 garlic and saute well. After boiling, add half of a chopped tomato. Then put the powders in it half a teaspoon of turmeric powder, half a teaspoon of coriander powder, Kashmiri chili powder, half a tablespoon, half a tablespoon regular chilli powder and quarter teaspoon of fenugreek powder and fry it for a while. After that you can turn off the flame and after it gets hot put it in a small jar of mixer and grind it well. •Take a lemon size tamarind and add some water and squeeze it and keep the water ready. After that, pour a tablespoon of oil in the fish pan and add half a teaspoon of mustard and after it crackles, add a tablespoon of chopped ginger and a tablespoon of chopped garlic. Add a quarter cup of chopped onion and saute it a little. Then add the other half of the tomato Add some more curry leaves and saute well again. We can add the mixture that we grinded earlier and fry it again, After that pour more tamarind water and if necessary you can pour some more water. After everything boils well, add the prepared fish pieces. It can be swirled and cooked. Then add curry leaves and keep the curry closed for some time. Delicious mackerel chili is ready.

How BMR is calculated

Males: 10 × weight (in kilograms) + 6.25 × height (in centimeters) – 5 × age (in years) + 5
Females: 10 × weight (in kilograms) + 6.25 × height (in centimeters) – 5 × age (in years) – 161

For example, a 35-year-old, 200-pound (90.7-kg), 6-foot (183-cm) male would have a BMR/RMR of 1,882. At rest, he’ll burn around 1,882 calories in a day.

A 35-year-old female who weighs 150 pounds (68 kg) and is 5 feet 7 inches (170 cm) tall will burn around 1,409 calories per day at rest.

What does BMR tell you?
Your BMR tells you how many calories you burn at rest. It’s an indicator of your metabolic activity before considering daily movement.

However, since we do not use BMR to calculate our total daily calorie needs, it’s really only the first step of a larger equation.

To calculate your TDEE, you’ll need to add an activity factor to the equation:
