Basmati rice-1 1/2 kg

fried onion


garam masala

ghee-1 tbsp


water- double the rice quantity


coriander leaves


saffron water+biriyani essance+pineapple essance

for marinate chicken

ginger,garlic,chilly paste


coriander powder-1 tsp

garam masala-1 tsp

chicken masala-1 tsp

pepper powder-1 tsp

chilly powder-1 tsp

coriander leaves

mint leaves


fried onion

chicken-2 kg

other ingredients

cashews and kis mis


Soak rice for 1/2 hrs, heat ghee in a biriyani pot, add spices, fried onion, then add water, salt,lemon, coriander leaves and saffron water, once it starts boiling add rice, cook well.

For chicken masala, Mix all ingredients in the list, make a paste, marinate chicken with this masala, and cook in a pan until it become thick, then add cooked rice above it, spread saffron milk, add cashews,herbs and fried onion, again set chicken masala layer, again rice layer,repeat the steps, keep in low flame for 10 minutes.
