for appam

Rice flour(puttupodi)- 1 cup


Urad daal powder-1/4 cup

coconut-1 cup

cumin-1 tbsp

garlic- 1 tbsp



for milk

coconut – 1 full coconut


dry ginger- 2 pieces


jaggerry-3/4 cup

rice- 3 tbsp



In a mixie jar add, garlic, cumin, and coconut and blend well, then transfer to a bowl, then add rice flour, and urad dal powder , mix with hand and knead well, take smalls from it, cover with a banana leaf, and steam well. Appam is ready.

For milk

Take 1st and second milk from coconut. Then add cumin and dry ginger in a mixie jar, blend well, add this to jaggerry, roast rice and make fine powder. Cook 2nd coconut milk in a pan, add jaggerry, next add roasted rice powder, and stir well, finally add thick coconut milk.
