Ingredients

Sardine – 5 medium sized

Ginger – 2 inch

Garlic – 7 small cloves

Fennel seeds- 1/2 tsp

Pepper – 1/2 tsp

Water – 2 to 3 tbsp to grind

For marination ——

Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp

kashmiri chilli powder – 2 tsp

salt less than 1/2 tsp

coconut oil

For Masala—–

Big onion – 2

Curry leaves

Turmeric powder – 1/4tsp

Chilli powder – 1 tsp

Tomato – half of 1 ( if small tomato add 1 )

thick coconut milk – 3 to 4 tbsp

Preparation

Take a mixie jar, add ginger, pepper , garlic, fennel and a little water, grind it into paste, use this paste with turmeric , salt, chilly powder, and coconut oil to marinate the fish well. Dont forget to put deep wounds in fish before marination. Rest it for 15 minutes, then fry the fish. Now prepare masala, add onions to the same pan, add salt and saute it well, add curry leaves, and masala powders, mix well, next add tomato, saute until it become soft and mushy, then turn off flame. Take banana leaf, heat it to become soft, then add the entire masala, place fish above the masala, pour 2-3 tbsp of coconut milk above it, finely fold the leaf. Heat a tawa, put it above, then cook both sides in low flame, then turn off flame.
