green peas – 1 cup cooked

onion-1

ginger

chilly-4

curry leaves

rice flour

fennel-1/2 tsp

Preparation

Grind greenpeas with ginger,chilly,and fennel into coarse paste, add curry leaves, rice flour,salt , onion and other ingredients, knead it well , then make small vada shape, after done it, fry all vada in hot oil.

Chemmeen theeyal

Ingredients

Prawns – 250g

Shallots – 25nos

Green chillies – 3 nos

Curry leaves as needed

Salt to taste

Water – 2 cups

Tamarind – small lemon size

Grated coconut – 1.5 to 2 cups

Kashmiri chilli powder – 1.5 tbsp

Coriander powder – 1 tbsp

coconut oil – 3 tbsp

Mustard seeds – 1tsp

Dried chilli – 3 nos

Preparation

Heat a claypot, add coconut oil, once it heat well, add shallots, curry leaves, green chilly and salt, saute it well. Fry grated coconut in another pan, add masalas, then grind into fine paste. Add coconut paste and prawn to claypot, add more water, cook it well. Finally add tempered curry leaves and shallots to the curry.

Ingredients

turmeric-1/2 tsp

water-1/2 cup

green peas cooked-100 gm

coconut paste-1/2 cup

garam masala-1 tsp

coriander and mint leaves

for rice

ghee-2 tsp

spices

biriyani rice-3 cup

hot water-5 1/4 cup

lemon juice-1 tsp

salt

roasted cashew, kismis

fried onion

bread fried

Preparation

Heat a pan, add oil, once it heats well, add onion, saute it well, next add other vegetables one bye one, after saute well, add turmeric, water, cooked green peas, coconut paste and garam masala, stir well, finally add herbs and turn off flame.

Heat a pot, add ghee, add spices after melting it, fry well, next add washed rice , fry it, add water, salt and lemon juice, cook it well,.

In a pot, set masala, and put rice above it, then add another layer of masala and rice, finally add some roasted cashews and kismis and fried onion above it. Serve with fried bread.

Sharkkara thengaappal

Ingredients

jaggerry-2 pieces

coconut thick milk-1 glass

second extract of coconut milk-2 glass

cardamom powder-1/2 tsp

Preparation

Melt jaggerry with 1 glass of water, once it melts well, add second extract of coconut milk, allow it to boil, next add thick coconut milk, just heat it, add cardamom and turn off flame.

Preparation

Take maida in a bowl, break 2 eggs into it, mix it well, add required water to make a soft batter. Heat a clay pan, pour the batter, then cover it, cook it well.

Coconut bun

Ingredients

sugar-1/4 cup

salt-1 pinch

for filling

coconut grated

sugar

cardamom

Preparation

For dough making, add all ingredients in a bowl, knead it by adding lukewarm milk, make a soft dough and rest it for 1 hour. For filling mix all ingredients then set aside.

After 1 hour take the dough and knead it in counter top, then divide this into 2 equal parts, add some dust, then roll it into round shape, put in a tin, add fillings, spread over, put the second layer and cover it well, then bake in a idli pot or any other pot.

Ingredients

1. BANANA = 3,4

2. BESAN FLOUR = 2 CUP

3. RICE FLOUR = 1/4 CUP

4. RED CHILLI POWDER = 2 TSP

6.SALT = AS NEEDED

8. BAKING SODA = 1/4 TSP

Preparation

Cut banana into slices.Mix all ingredients in a bowl make a thick batter, dip banana slice into the batter, then fry in hot oil.

Banana Halwa
