Peri-Peri Chicken

This peri peri chicken recipe smothers chicken in a homemade peri peri sauce then bakes or grills them and serves them with extra sauce. It’s a quick and easy weeknight meal.

Ingredients

for grinding

coriander and mint leaf-1/2 cup each

fennel-1 tsp

cumin-1/2 tsp

cardamom-1

tomato-1

lemon juice-1 tsp

other ingredients

ginger garlic paste-1 tbsp

curd-3 tbsp

chilly powder-2 tsp

garam masala-1/2 tsp

turmeric-1/4 tsp

chilly flakes-2 tsp

salt

chicken large leg pieces-2

for sauce

chilly powder-1 tsp

pepper powder

chilly flakes

tomato ketchup-3 tbsp

Preparation

Grind herbs with cumin and gennel seeds, then add tomato, blend it again. Take a bowl, add ginger garlic paste, masala powders, curd, chilly flakes, lemon juice and salt, add herb masala, mix all well. Take chicken pieces, put deep marks, then marinate it well with the prepared masala. Keep chicken in freezer for 1 night. For sauce, heat oil in a pan, add masala powders and chilly flakes, saute it for a minute, add ketchup, mix all, then keep aside. Heat oil in another pan, add chicken piece, fry it in low flame, frequently apply the sauce above chicken while frying. Once it fried enough, take it in a plate.

Chapathi Shawarma

Shawarma is street food recipe from Middle East. Which is made with highly marinated chicken and stuffed it with kubboose and some veggies. Here we are using chapathi instead of kubboose, but never miss the taste. Lts see..

Ingredients

for marination

chicken-250 gm

turmeric-1/4 tsp

pepper powder-1/2 tsp

chilly powder-1 tsp

crushed garlic

lemon juice

carrot

capsicum

cabbage

mayonnaise

Preparation

Marinate chicken with the ingredients mentioned above. After 10 minutes fry it well. Fry potatoes then set aside. Saute veggies for 1 minute, then add salt, pepper powder, fried potatoes, fried chicken and lemon juice into vegetables, add cucumber pieces, mix all well. Take chapathi, spread mayonnaise first, then apply tomato sauce, at the centre add mix , then add fried potato, now wrap it.

A healthy breakfast with potato and wheat flour

Ingredients

boiled potatoes-2-3

Preparation

Take a bowl, add wheat flour first, then add other ingredients one bye one, take masala powders less quantity, finally, add boiled and mashed potatoes, knead it well, add water if required, make this a soft dough. Divide it into medium sized balls. Take chapathi roller, then flatten it into thin chapathi, fold it from all sides, then flatten it again, after this process done, put this into a hot pan, then cook well.

Wheat Payasam

Gothambu Payasam is a traditional, tasty dessert made by simmering broken wheat with jaggery syrup & garnished with nuts & flavours. Gothambu Payasam is made for religious festivals, special occasions, Onam Sadhya and relished after meal. Gothambu Payasam is a nice alternate to the regular payasam & healthy too.

Ingredients

whole wheat-1 cup

water-2-3 cup

jaggerry-4

second extract of coconut milk

cardamom-2 pinch

dry ginger powder-2 pinch

salt-1 pinch

thick coconut milk

cashews

Preparation

Soak whole wheat for 3 hrs, then cook it in pressure cooker by adding required water, turn off gas after 3 whistle come out. Open the cooker after the pressure gone, transfer the wheat into a round pan, stir it well, pour jaggerry juice, mix well, now pour second extract of coconut milk, don’t stop stirring, add cardamom and dry ginger powder, after 5 minutes of cooking add thick coconut milk and roasted cashews, mix it, then turn off flame.

Butterscotch Ice Cream in Mixie jar

Hello all, Ice cream is everyone’s favourite dessert, especially kids. We can make tasty ice cream at home without beater. Using mixie jar to blend it. Lets see how. Its butterscotch flavour.

Ingredients

milk-1 cup

sugar-4 tbsp

pea nuts

whipping cream-1 cup

vanilla essence

yellow color

Preparation

Boil milk and sugar for 10 minutes, add vanilla essence while boiling, then let it cooled down. Caramalise sugar in a pan, add peanut, then allow it to cool. Once it become hard, crush it well. Blend whipping cream in a mixie jar, add milk, blend it again, then pour it in a bowl, add yellow color and crushed sugar, combine all, then freeze it about 6-8 hrs. Scoop it and have ice cream.

A tasty curry dish with drumstick and cucumber, this is tasty to have with rice.

Preparation

Cook drumstick, cucumber, tomato, green chilly together by adding, salt, turmeric, chilly powder and water. Grind coconut, cumin, turmeric and curd together, then add to curry, boil it well. Finally season the curry with oil, mustard, curry leaves and dry chilly.

You will never throw your leftover rice after watching this recipes.

First recipe is dosa, take a mixie jar, add 1 cup of cooked rice and coconujt,7 shallots and cumin, add a little water, then grind it into fine paste, add 1/2 cup of semolina into the batter, mix well, then keep aside for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes the batter become thick, now make dosas.

Next masala paniyaram. Crush cooked rice, then add to a bowl, add semolina and water, combine all well, after soaking 10 minutes add finely chopped onion, carrot, green chilly and coriander leaves, after mixing it well add salt, chilly flakes and baking soda, mix it again. Season with mustard and curry leaves. Heat an unniyappam pot, apply oil, then fill each hole, cook it well.

Next a putt recipe. Crush leftover rice and rice flour together in a mixie jar, then make putt as usual.

Preparation

Take boiled potato, cut it into small pieces. Take a steel strainer, add the potatoes, press it with the spoon, then take the pulp in a bowl, add corn flour, salt, rice flour and sugar into it, mix it well and make a soft dough, cut the dough into small pieces, ball it perfectly, then fry the balls until it become crispy. Finally spread chilly powder and hing above the balls, mix well and have it.

Unniyappam

Unniyappam is a famous kerala traditional recipe. Unniyappam is a small round snack made from rice, jaggery, banana, roasted coconut pieces, roasted sesame seeds and cardamom powder fried in oil. It is Kerala’s version of Sweet Kuzhi Paniyaram.

Ingredients

jaggerry-350 gm

water

raw rice-3 cup

water

small banana-6

wheat flour-1/2 cup

cardamom powder-1 tsp

salt-1/4 tsp

ghee

coconut slices

Preparation

Soak rice for 3 hrs. Melt jaggerry with water, then strain it. Grind rice with this jaggerry juice and make coarse paste. Grind banana and add to the batter, add wheat flour, cardamom powder and salt, combine all well, then keep aside for 1-2 hrs. Fry coconut slices in ghee and add to the batter, mix all well. Heat oil in unniyappam pot, pour batter 3/4 part of each hole, flip it after one side is fried enough, cook another side well, then take it.
