Banana Payasam

Payasam recipe for vishu..

Ingredients

banana-1/2 kg

jaggerry-350gm

water-3/4 cup

ghee-1/2 tbsp + 1/2 tbsp

coconut milk-2 1/2 cup( second extract)

cardamom powder

dry ginger powder

milkmaid-3 tbsp

thick coconut milk- 1 cup

coconut pieces

cashews and kismis

Preparation

Heat ghee in a bottom thick pan, add banana pieces, saute until it become mushy, then pour melted jaggerry into it, combine well, boil it until it become thick, then pour coconut milk second extract, allow it to boil for 5-10 minutes, add cardamom and dry ginger powder, mix it well, now time to add thick coconut milk, just heat it,. then turn off flame. Add roasted coconut, cashew and kismis, now tasty banana payasam is ready.

INGREDIENTS

raw rice- 2 cup

coconut-1/2 cup

urad dal- 1 tbsp

cooked rice- 2 cup

sugar- 1 tbsp

yeast-1 tsp

salt

Preparation

Wash rice and urad dal together, then soak it for 2-3 hrs, then remove water from it, add cooked rice, coconut, sugar, yeast, and salt, mix everything well, then grind it well and make fine batter, mix it with your hand for 2 minutes, then keep aside for 2 hrs. After raising the batter, mix it again. Take small plates, apply oil, then pour the batter , steam it for 10 minutes.

Cumin seeds – 1/4 teaspoon

Preparation

Cut mango into small pieces, then add it to a mixie jar, add coconut, salt, cumin and green chilly, grind it into coarse paste, then add curd, blend it again. Heat oil ina pan, add mustard, let it pop, then add curry leaves and dry chilly, saute it well, then add mango paste to it, mix well, then turn off flame.

A Perfect Beef Manthi Recipe..

INGREDIENTS

sunflower oil

coriander seeds

Preparation

Heat oil in a pressure cooker, first add whole spices, roast it well, then add onion, add salt, then saute it for a minute, next add ginger garlic crush, saute it all well, now add masala powders and maggi cube, combine well, add beef, combine with masala, next add coriander leaves, then cover the cooker and cook it for 3 whistle.

Boil water in a large pot, add salt, maggi cube,oil and dry lemon, let it boil well, next add soaked rice, cook it about 90 %, then sieve. In a large pot, arrange cooked rice and beef masala in layers, then smoke it before use.

Instant yeast – 1 tsp

Sugar – 1 tbsp

Luke warm milk – ½ cup

Maida – 2 cup

Boneless chicken – 300 gm

Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp

Lemon juice – 1 tbsp

Kashmiri chilli powder – 1 tsp

Chilli flakes – 1 tsp

Oregano – 1 tsp

Salt – as required

Onion – 1 (chopped)

Pepper powder – ¼ tsp

Chat masala – 1 tsp

Spring onion – a few

Mozzarella cheese – a few

Egg yolk – 1

Milk – 1 tbsp

Sesame – a few

Butter – 1 tbsp

PREPARATION

For dough, mix yeast, sugar, salt, oil and lukewarm water in a bowl, then add maida, knead it well and make soft dough, then keep aside for raise the dough. Take boneless chicken pieces in a bowl, add ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, chilly powder, chilly flakes, pepper powder, salt and a spoon of cooking oil, mix well , then set aside. Saute onion in a pan, then add marinated chicken, fry it well in low flame, then add chat masala and pepper powder, combine well, add spring onion, turn off flame after mixing it well. Take the dough, knead it again, then divide it into equal small balls. Flatten each balls into medium thick and round shape, add filling one half, add cheese above the filling, take a kniefe, cur 2-3 lines of another half of the round, then fold it from one side. Brush egg above each roll, then sprinkle black cumin, then bake it well.

Preparation

For Straberry jelly, boil water, then add strawberry powder , mix well until it melts completely, then pour the mix in a flat plate, then let it cool down, boil milk in a sauce pan, add sugar and custard water mix, stir it well until it become thick, add cardamom too. Cook sago in water, then strain water. Take milk mix after cooling it well, then add strawberry jelly pieces, soaked sabja, cooked sago and crushed badam then serve it.
