1.Bilimbi(irumban puli)2 hand full chopped
2.Ginger-1/2 inch size-5nos
3.Garlic-6 cloves(big size)
5. Fenu greek powder-1/4 tsp
6.Jaggery-5 cubes melted with little water.
7.Mustard seeds-1 1/2 tsp
8.Green chilly-10 nos
Heat a clay pot, add 4tbsp coconut oil. Add chopped ginger and fry until it become golden colour. Fry green chilly same as ginger. Ginger and green chilly keep in a tissue paper or normal news paper. To remove exess oil content. Then add 1 and half teaspoons of mustard seeds into same oil. Then add shallots, garlic. Saute these till golden colour. Then, add bilimbi stir. Add 1 tsp of salt. Stir well. Cover it with a lid. Dont add water. Because Bilimbi itself contain water. Then grind fried ginger and green chilly. Keep it aside. Melt jaggery with little water. Add melted jaggery after bilimbi well cooked. Then add powdered ginger and green chilly, fenu greek powder. Stir it until it become thickened. Do not let it too thickened. Because it will thicken more after cooling. Now tasty Bilimbi puliyinji is ready.
