Chicken with Curry Leaves Recipe


Chicken – 1 kg, cut into medium pieces.

Oil – as required.

Curry leaves – 1 bowl.

Ginger and garlic – crushed 2 tbsp.

Onion – One sliced.

Green chilli – 5 no.

Salt to taste.

Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp.

Chilli powder – 1 tsp.

Pepper powder – 1 tbsp.

Garam masala – 1 tsp.


Heat some oil in the sauce pan. Add curry leaves and fry them on a medium flame. Then add crushed ginger-garlic, onion, green chilli, and salt to taste. Mix it well until the raw smell fades away. Now we can add turmeric powder, chilli powder, pepper powder, and garam masala. Saute well until the raw smell fades away. Finally add chicken pieces and mix it well. Cook it over a low flame for 15 to 20 minutes. You can open the lid and give it a good mix in the meantime. Our chicken curry leaves is ready. Serve hot with rice, tapioca, or any indian bread of your choice.
