Preparation
Soak the chana dal in water for 3-4 hours. Drain the chana dal and grind it into a coarse paste. Add the cumin seeds, ginger, garlic, green chili, salt, curry leaves, and coriander leaves to the ground chana dal. Mix well to form a batter. Heat oil in a pan. Take a small portion of the batter and shape it into a round patty. Fry the patty in the hot oil until it is golden brown on both sides. Serve the parippvada hot with chutney or sambar.
