Chana masala is a North Indian curried dish made with white chickpeas, onions, tomatoes, spices and herbs.
Lets see how to prepare thick gravy chana Masala
Soak 2 cup of chana over night, next morning, cook it with salt, turmeric and water in a pressure cooker. Heat oil in a pan, add 4 sliced onion and 1 tsp of fennel, 1 1/2 tbsp of chilly powder, 3 tbsp of coriander powder, and 1/2 tsp turmeric, saute it all well, add ginger garlic paste, cook it again, add cashews and 4 tomatoes, continue sauting, once it become mushy , turn off flame. Grind the mix after heat is gone. Heat some oil in a pan, add whole spices, then add the paste, mix it well, next add water, combine all well, add cooked chana after boiling it well,add garam masala powder and required salt, mix it well, add a little sugar and coriander leaves into it, then turn off flame.
