Ingredients

1/4 cup fenugreek seeds (uluva)

2.5 cups water

2 cups milk (optional)

3 teaspoons sugar (or to taste)

Fenugreek powder (optional)

Preparation

Heat a pan over low heat.Add the fenugreek seeds and roast them until they turn golden brown, stirring continuously to prevent burning.Let the roasted seeds cool down completely. Grind the roasted fenugreek seeds into a fine powder using a grinder.In a saucepan, heat water.Add the required amount of fenugreek powder to the water.If using milk, add it to the saucepan along with the water.Add sugar to taste and stir well.Let the mixture boil for a few minutes until the flavors blend well.Strain the tea into cups to remove any sedimentServe the Uluva Chaya hot.

Restaurant Style Egg Fried Rice

Learn how to make restaurant style fried rice at home.

Ingredients

For making rice

Basmati rice. 1glass

Water. 2glass

Salt

Other ingredients

Oil. 2tbsp

Chopped onion. 1

Chopped garlic. 10

Chopped green chilly. 5

Chopped carrot. 2

Eggs. 2

Brocoli cut into small pieces. 1 1/2cup

Soy sauce. 1 1/2tbsp

Crushed pepper. 1 1/2tsp

Chopped celery. 2tbsp

Coloured peppers. 2tbsp

Preparation

Soak rice for 20 minutes and strain. Boil water in a pan, add salt and strained rice. When it start to boil, lower heat and cook for 10 minutes.

Heat oil in a wok. Add onion, garlic and chilly and sauté. Add carrot and broccoli, cover and cook for 2 minutes. Add eggs and fry with vegetables. Add cooked rice and toss well. Add soy sauce and pepper. Toss well. Finally add celery and peppers. Remove egg fried rice from fire and serve hot.

Bread Gulab Jamun

Kids favourite gulab jamun with Bread

First, six slices of bread are taken . The sides of the bread are cut off and then the bread is grinded into a powder using a mixer jar .Next, half a cup of milk is added a little at a time to the bread crumbs until a mixture is formed that can be rolled into balls . If the dough is too dry, more milk can be added one or two tablespoons at a time . One teaspoon of ghee is then added to the mixture (this is optional) . The dough is kneaded well to prevent the balls from cracking while frying .Then, a syrup is made with ¾ cup of sugar and one cup of water . The sugar is dissolved in the water and brought to a boil . Three cardamom pods are crushed and added to the syrup . The syrup is boiled for two to three minutes and then removed from the heat.The oil for frying the Gulab Jamun balls is heated on low heat . The balls are then shaped and fried in the oil until they turn golden brown . It is important to not put too many balls in the oil at once and to not crowd the pan . The balls are then removed from the oil and placed in the warm sugar syrup .The Gulab Jamuns are left to soak in the syrup for two to three hours, or even four to five hours . The longer they soak, the better . The video ends showing that the bread has absorbed the syrup.

After soaking, the breadfruit is boiled with potatoes and turmeric . Once cooked, the breadfruit and potatoes are mashed together .Next, the spices are prepared . Onions are sauteed with oil, curry leaves, ginger, garlic, and chilies . Then, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, and Kashmiri chili powder are added .The mashed breadfruit and potato mixture is then combined with the spiced onions . If the mixture seems too wet, bread crumbs can be added to absorb the excess moisture .Eggs are beaten with salt and pepper to create an egg wash . The breadfruit mixture is shaped into patties and then dipped in the egg wash and coated with bread crumbs .The cutlets are then fried in oil until golden brown on both sides .
