Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup water

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon ghee

1 tablespoon powdered sugar

Here are the ingredients for making the Modak filling:

1 cup grated coconut

1/2 cup jaggery

1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder

1 tablespoon ghee

Preparation

Mix the flour, water, salt, ghee, and powdered sugar to make a dough. Roll the dough into small balls. Make a small indentation in the center of each dough ball. Fill the indentation with the coconut and jaggery mixture. Pinch the dough together to seal the filling.Steam the modak for 10-15 minutes, or until they are cooked through.

Squid Masala

Ingredients:

250g Kanava fish

2 onions

1 tbsp ginger and garlic paste

1 tbsp coriander leaves

2 green chilies

1 tomato

1/4 tsp turmeric powder

1/4 tsp cumin powder

1 tsp chili powder

1 tbsp coriander powder

1 tsp garam masala powder

Water

Preparation

Clean the Kanava fish and remove the head and skin. Cut the onions, ginger, garlic, green chilies, and tomato into small pieces. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.Once the cumin seeds crackle, add the onions and green chilies.
Saute the onions until they turn golden brown. Add the ginger-garlic paste and saute for a few seconds. Add the turmeric powder, cumin powder, chili powder, coriander powder, and garam masala powder.Add the Kanava fish pieces and mix well.Add water to cover the fish pieces and cook until the fish is cooked through. Serve hot with rice or roti.

Bread Gulab jamun

Bread Gulab jamun

Ingredients:

10 slices bread

½ liter milk

4 ½ tablespoons sugar

1 cup hot water

Rose water or vanilla essence (optional)

Refined oil for frying

Preparation

Cut bread into small pieces. Mix bread with some milk to make a dough. Add remaining milk gradually while mixing until the dough reaches the right consistency. Rest the dough for 10 minutes. Make small balls from the dough.
Heat oil in a pan. Fry the balls until they turn light brown. Make sugar syrup by mixing sugar and hot water.
Add rose water or vanilla essence to the syrup (optional). Let the syrup cool down. Add the fried balls to the syrup and let them soak for 30 minutes. Serve the Gulab Jamun.

Preparation

Cook beef with salt and turmeric, then crush it in fridge( dont use cooked water for crushing). In a pan, add shredded beef, shallots, chilly flakes, pepper powder garlic, salt, garam masala and coconut oil, mix well, then cook it until it become crispy and brown.

Baking Powder – 2 tsp

salt – 1/4 tsp

Egg – 4

powdered sugar – 2 cups

Milk – 1 cup (250ml)

unsalted butter – 100 gm

8 inch baking mould

Preparation

Sieve dry ingredients , then keep aside. Break eggs to a bowl, beat it with a beater, add powdered sugar, beat again until it become stiff and foamy. add essence, next add dry ingredients to it, by 2-3 bathes, beat it for combine. Add butter to it, pour milk, mix it again, now the batter is ready. Set a cake tin, then pour the mix, after tapping it well , bake it.
