Easy chana masala recipe

Ingredients

chana-1 1/2 cup( soaked 4-5 hrs)

water

turmeric-1 pinch

salt

baking soda-1 pinch

onion-2

ginger,garlic crushed-1 1/2 tbsp

green chilly-1

coriander leaves

tomato puree- 2 tomatoes

cardamom-2

cloves-3

cinnamon

bay leaf-1

cumin-1/2 tsp

kasoori methi-1/2 tsp

turmeric

chilly powder

coriander powder

garam masala

cumin powder

butter or sunflower oil

Preparation

In a pressure cooker, add chana,salt water, turmeric and baking soda, cook  4-5 whistle and keep aside.Heat a pan, add oil, next add spices, roast it well, next add chopped vegetables, saute until it become brown, next add masalas, next add tomato puree, and allow it to boil,then add chana, once it boil well , add coriander leaves and turn off flame.

Wheat ball snack

Ingredients

wheat – 1 cup

grated coconut-1 cup

jaggerry-75 gm

cardamom-1 tsp

Preparation

Wash wheat and strain out from water, dry roast it in a pan, after cooling well, grind into fine powder, add coconut, jaggerry and cardamom into it, pulse it again, then make small balls.

Fish curry( poomeen)

Ingredients

Fish-1 kg

ginger-1 large piece

garlic-10

shallots-10

tomato-2

kashmiri chilly-4 tsp

turmeric powder-1/2 tsp

pot tamarind-10 small pieces

salt

coconut oil

curry leaves

fenugreek-1 tsp

mustards-1 tsp

water

fenugreek powder-1/4 tsp

green chilly-6

Preparation

Heat a clay pot, add oil, ginger,garlic, and shallots, saute it well, add masalas and tomato, saute 2 more minutes then grind this mix into fine paste. Heat another pan, add oil, crack fenugreek and mustards,add curry leaves and green chilly, next add grinded masala, saute it for 3-4 minutes, add water, salt and tamarind, allow it to boil, then add fish, cook well, finally add some curry leaves and fenugreek powder.

Steam cooked Evening snack

Ingredients

semolina-1 cup

water-1 cup

curd-3/4 cup

oil-2 tbsp

mustards-1/2 tsp

cumin-1/4 tsp

ginger garlic paste-1 tbsp

turmeric-1/4 tsp

coriander powder-1/2 tsp

chilly powder-1/2 tsp

boiled potato-2

salt

garam masala-1/4 tsp

oil-2 tsp

kashmiri chilly-1 tsp

salt

water-2 tbsp

curry leaves

Preparation

Take a bowl, add semolina,curd , salt and water,mix well and keep aside. Heat oil in a pan, crack mustards and cumin, add chilly,ginger garlic, curry leaves and onion , saute it well, next add masalas,then add boiled potato, mix all well and turn off flame, then allow it to cool. Take small portions fro it and make unnakkaya shape, take a glass, grease it with oil, and pour the batter, add the potato masala, again add batter, then steam cook this well. After cooking well demould from glass, heat a pan, add oil,kashmiri chilly, salt and curry leaves, then coat the masala to the snack.

Pumpkin kheer( mathanga payasam)

Ingredients

Pumpkin-1/2

water

coconut-1

coconut milk second extract

third extract

thick coconut milk

jaggerry

ghee

rice flour1 laddle

cardamom

Preparation

Cut pumpkin into small pieces, add to a cooker, add required water and cook well, then mash it well,next add ghee, jaggerry and second extract of coconut milk, mix well. Take third coconut milk, add rice flour to the milk and mix well,then add to payasam, stir well, add cardamom, finally add thick coconut milk.

Home made Nutella

Ingredients

Chick pea-1 cup

sugar-3/4 cup

cocoa powder-3 tbsp

vanilla essance-1/2 tsp

sunflower oil

Preparation

Roast chickpea in low flame, then add into a mixie jar, add sugar and grind well, then strain this mix, again add to mixie jar, add another ingredients, blend it to become perfect consistency.

Banana evening snack

Ingredients

coconut grated-3/4 cup

sugar-7 tbsp

maida

oil

Preparation

Take a mixie jar, add half of the banana into it,then add egg,sugar and coconut, grind well and pour the batter to a bowl, add required maida to make a soft dough, add oil, then divide small balls, flattern each ball, cut the another half of the banana into long finger shape and put one piece above the chapathi, cut sides of the chapathi, and set like the video shown, set all and fry in oil.

Easy sweet snack

Ingredients

egg-2

vanilla essance-1 tsp

salt-1 pinch

baking powder-1/2 tsp

maida-1 cup

desicated coconut

Preparation

In a mixie jar, break 3 eggs, add sugar, vanilla essance and salt, blend well, then add maida and baking powder, blend again, transfer the batter to a bottle with holed cap. Heat a pan, press the batter to the pan like small cookies shape, cook in low flame. Take 1 cookie spread jam, and paste another cookie above it, spread jam and coat in desicated coconut.
