Preparation

In a pressure cooker, add dal, shallots, salt,turmeric,curry leaves and water, cook it for 2-3 whistle.Grind coconut with garlic,cumin,green chilly and water, then add to the curry, add more turmeric and salt, boil it well, finally add ghee.

Leftover rice kinnathappam

Ingredients

cooked rice-2 cup

water-1/2 cup

corn flour-2 tbsp

water-1/4 cup

jaggerry-4

water

ghee-1 tbsp

cardamom powder-1/2 tsp

coconut milk-1 cup

cashew nuts

Preparation

Take a mixie jar, add cooked rice, add some water and grind it into fine paste. Take a bowl, add corn flour and water, mix it well and keep aside. Melt jaggerry and strai it to a pan, add rice mix to the pan, mix well, turn on flame and stir it without stopping, once it heat well add cardamom and coconut milk, continue stirring , add ghee, combine it with the mix, next add corn flour mix, mix it well, add more ghee and stir it continously, once it become thick and non sticky add cashew nuts , after a mix turn off flame and transfer the mix to a greased plate, level it with a spoon, then allow it to cool down, then demould it and cut it.

Preparation

Cook jackfruit seeds in a pressure cooker by adding water and salt, then grind it in a mixie jar and pour it to a bowl, add ginger,garlic,onion,curry leaves,chilly powder, garam masala and salt, after mixing well add rice flour, mix well and make soft dough, divide the mix into small vadas then fry it in hot oil.

Heat oil in a pan, add spices, onion,ginger and garlic, saute it for 2-3 minutes, then add chopped vegetables, mix it well, then add salt, pepper powder and second extract of coconut milk, cook it well, then add maida and water mix, boil it for 2-3 minutes, next add thick coconut milk, once it heat well add coconut oil and turn off flame, Finally add sugar, then mix it well.
